At Anaplan, we are looking for a self-motivated Americas Account Based Marketing Manager to join our growing team of superstar global demand generation marketers that builds the awareness and generates the demand for the platform that is helping people and companies across the globe to improve their planning processes, make better-informed decisions, and optimize their business results.

This position can be located at any of our vibrant hubs across the United States. The global team led out of Minneapolis, MN focuses on driving demand through targeted line of business, person-based marketing campaigns. As an experienced Account Based Marketing Manager your primary objective on the demand generation team is to lead in the creation of implementing a strategic account based marketing approach. Determining a strategy and executing on ABM campaigns that target 2 key segments – 1:1 campaigns, the top 1% of our account base, and 1:many campaigns that target either key personas or industries.

This role is an immediate full-time position. If you’re a team player ready to develop and carry out innovative account based marketing (ABM) campaigns while executing in a dynamic environment, this role is for you.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Playing the leadership role in the build our of the overall ABM strategy and execution, including working cross functionally and being a recognized internal ABM subject matter expert.
  • Developing and maintaining comprehensive account profiles and target personas; overseeing a database of named contacts to align Marketing and Sales in defining the target audience required to achieve ABM goals and objectives. 
  • Proactively engaging with corporate & field marketing teams to coordinate and optimize the impact of our bespoke marketing campaign engagement models  including microsites, executive events, dinner series and sponsorships in coordination with other top of funnel ABM campaigns. 
  • Focusing on the buyer’s journey and deploying the right programmatic account-specific tactical mix to deliver the right content at the right time. 
  • Leading and participating in leveraging marketing technology to create and deliver personalized experiences that lead to new business in existing accounts and new logo capture. 
  • Providing guidance to extended marketing team for account-based marketing best practices and techniques to improve our general B2B marketing programs as needed.
  • Tracking, measuring, and analyzing everything so that we can continuously optimize our activities for success. Including maintaining contact data quality, and providing a detailed analysis of programmatic ABM campaigns and account-specific tactics.

More about you:

  • 4-6 years of experience in demand generation, with a minimum of 2+ years in an ABM role. Ideally for a SaaS technology organization focused in the enterprise space
  • Experience leveraging ABM technology and data including but not limited to Demandbase, Engagio, Marketo, Salesforce, 3rd party intent data sources, direct mail technology, and other digital ABM technologies.
  • Experience either managing, or aligning cross functionally with a sales team. Owning the execution of all marketing programs through to a successful ‘handshake’ with the sales team
  • Proven results with account based marketing programs, including demonstrated proficiency with multiple formats of demand generation, including but not limited to direct mail, email, website, content marketing, and webinars
  • 4+ years of experience with marketing automation and CRM systems (preferably Marketo and
  • Proven experience with campaign management
  • Proven experience executing persona based campaigns, ideally finance, sales, or supply chain
  • Exceptional writing and copy-editing skills (e.g. developing compelling/engaging campaign messaging, web copy, email copy, etc.)
  • Experience with tracking closed-loop reporting/measurements for marketing campaigns.
  • High standards of communication - both oral and written – and strong project management, prioritization and organizational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with and develop positive business relationships with cross-functional teams
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
