Commissions Analyst

Location: San Francisco

Anaplan is seeking an experienced Commissions Analyst to take ownership of our commission plans and calculations globally. This role will support our sales and customer success organizations. The Commissions Analyst will report to the Director of Accounting and be a key liaison between Finance, Sales and HR. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and welcomes the opportunity to make a difference in a growing organization.

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage the monthly commissions' process for the sales and customer success teams within our Anaplan commissions model -- including understanding and consistently applying the commission plan, maintaining quotas and rates, and ensuring commission calculations are accurate and comply with the plan
  • Collaborate with sales and customer success teams on resolving commission-related issues
  • Support audit deliverables related to compensation payouts
  • Proactively identify and raise awareness about concerns or risks and participate in resolving them
  • Meet all payroll and month end close deadlines
  • Manage case inquiries, process corrections, and adjustments as they arise
  • Provide ad hoc commission analysis, reporting, and support as required
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple departments including Sales, Finance, and HR to develop and continuously improve processes needed to support the commission process
  • Implement effective controls and reporting to ensure integrity of sales commissions

 

You have:

  • BS degree or equivalent in Finance or Accounting
  • 3+ years Finance or Accounting experience in a technology/SaaS/Cloud company
  • Public company and SOX compliance experience
  • Strong excel modeling skills
  • Demonstrated ownership, problem-solving and analytical skills, combined with impeccable integrity
  • Experience with, and enjoys interfacing with sales executives and sales management
  • Ability to operate in a fast paced, rapidly evolving, highly transactional and data driven role
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills needed to interface and establish rapport with all levels of the organization
