This role is an immediate full-time position. If you’re ready to roll up your sleeves and tackle unique problems that no one is solving in the tech space yet, keep reading.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Create technical content solutions for our software platform, including API documentation in English and Japanese.
  • Work within engineering sprint teams and attend meetings to gather requirements.
  • Work closely with other members of the technical content team.
  • Provide a Japanese localization check of content across teams.
  • Work with our localization vendor’s systems to manage localized content deliverables.
  • Ensure consistent style and tone across all content.
  • Help define and maintain a set of common templates for different forms of documentation.
  • Develop and maintain information structures for software features so that, with each new release, only updates to changed aspects are required.
  • Develop and drive processes for information gathering, authoring, and review to drive accurate and complete documentation. 

More about you:

  • Experienced—at least 5 years’ experience as a technical writer/content specialist, preferably in a software-driven environment.
  • Fluent in English and Japanese with a wide vocabulary and strong grammar in both languages.
  • Tenacious—not intimidated by complex systems.
  • Organized and focused. You'll need to ensure that release content, information requests, and documentation tasks are well-planned, executed to the highest standard, and delivered on time.
  • Perceptive and empathetic. Able understand customer needs and develop the kinds of information products they require.
  • Proactive—determined to use your strong communication skills to engage our experts and customers in a friendly manner.
  • Innovative—with a desire to deliver world-class documentation across different media and a commitment to continual learning and keeping abreast of industry developments.
  • Open to change. We’re a fast-growing company—you'll need to be open to accepting and working with constant change.
  • Experience working with enterprise business planning or financial data is a plus.
  • Familiar with the Agile development process.
  • Knowledge of Confluence, JIRA and GIT are a plus.
