The CREATIVE DIRECTOR (based in SAN FRANCISCO) will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a consistent look and feel across all of Anaplan’s internal and external communications. We are looking for a dynamic leader that can take our brand expression system to the next level as Anaplan continues to reach new milestones. The role will work collaboratively across various groups within the organization to turn business strategy into compelling visual stories.

 

Developing a world class brand is crucial as Anaplan continues to grow and evolve. This person will work closely with the Senior Director of Brand Marketing to turn our company and product story into marketing communication tools. The role will support Marketing as well as other groups within the organization on design projects such as web, events, social media, display banners, presentations, white papers, datasheets, sales collateral and more. This is the perfect role for someone who wants to be part of a dynamic marketing team that is focused on further increasing the fast growth of an emerging leader in the SaaS market.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Be the brand steward for all visual identity. Drive thought leadership across the organization for all things related to design.
  • Develop a design system leveraging our existing design elements as well as creating a new set of design elements that incorporates our products and company history.
  • Extend Anaplan’s visual identity across every design element including illustration, photography, video, animation, icons, presentations, web, print and more.
  • Develop a set of brand guidelines and ensure the enforcement of brand standards across all communication pieces.
  • Manage team of internal designers and videographer, as well as any international team members.
  • Recruit top talent to grow the team. Develop career paths and provide mentorship to help strengthen the skills of each team member. Inspire creativity.
  • Work closely with Traffic Manager to improve processes, project management tools and the allocation and budgeting of design resources.
  • Collaborate with outside agencies as well as freelancers to ensure the application of our brand remains consistent through all work developed by third parties.
  • Serve as the lead designer on major projects. Present concepts and campaigns that are unique, engaging, intelligent and creative.
  • Support Marketing across all touch points such as web, print, video, social, events, presentations and more.

 

More about you:

  • 10+ years experience working as a Creative Director.
  • Experience working as part of an in-house corporate design team.
  • Print, digital and event experience with history of art directing photo shoots and video.
  • Deal with ambiguity to continue to drive projects forward while working under minimal supervision.
  • Transform technical ideas into visual concepts and stories that promote the brand.
  • Produce high quality work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong experience with Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign as well as presentation software such as PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional business acumen to understand the organizational goals and apply them to your function.
  • Outstanding collaboration skills with the ability to build relationships throughout the organization.
  • Experience managing a team of designers and videographer.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Portfolio of your work and thought process

 

Bonus points:

  • B2B experience in the SaaS market.
  • Copywriting experience.
  • Background in photography.
