Full Stack Engineer – Technical Content Team

Anaplan are looking for exceptional Engineers of all levels and disciplines to join us in our award-winning R&D centres in York, London and San Francisco - working in autonomous Scrum teams with an emphasis on collaboration, innovation and honesty, we’re serious about attracting the best…we have hugely complex technical problems to solve, and offer unrestricted progression, a relaxed working environment, superb packages and much more.

We're looking for exceptional Engineers - really smart, passionate people who believe in simplicity, agility and performance and can choose and use the best tools for the job. We know how important learning and development are, so we constantly invest in our Engineering team (in excess of 185 people globally and growing by the day) with time and a dedicated budget for self-study, training, events and global conferences - ensuring that whatever you need is always available.

In this role, you will be part of the Technical Content Team (TCT) in Software Engineering, responsible for building and supporting customer-facing technical content delivery solutions. You’ll work on exciting new solutions to deliver platform technical content including API documentation.

Skills Required:

  • Deep experience in object-oriented programming and modern JavaScript frameworks. (React is a must as you’ll be using it!)
  • Good experience working with CSS3 and CSS pre-processors (Sass, Less, Post-CSS).
  • Experience of creating accessible solutions (or a desire to make them).
  • Experience of building reusable, scalable and modular UI components and ensuring cross-browser compatibility.
  • You have built plenty of APIs to manage communication and data between client & server.
  • A good understanding of the importance of test-driven development (TDD) and are a stickler for testing and the testability of your code.
  • Experience setting up and maintaining Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure or a willingness to learn how to.
  • A proven track record of collaborating with design and back-end teams - perhaps with a keen eye for design yourself.
  • Produced maintainable code, followed best practice standards and built appropriate unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using Git.
  • A great understanding and implementation of security and data protection.
  • An urge to collaborate with designers, product managers, and content specialists to influence product direction and functional requirements.
  • Have a positive energy and enthusiasm — cultural fit is a really big deal for us: we’re looking for smart people who are excited about solving big problems and are self-motivated to get things done.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field preferred.

We Offer:

  • A rewarding, progressive career with a company that values diversity, flexibility and understands the need for a good work/life balance.
  • Market-leading salaries combined with generous bonuses, equity and a range of comprehensive benefits.
  • Regular agile meetups, events and hackathons (both attending and hosting!)
  • Flexible working, catered lunches, a fully stocked kitchen, weekly happy hours and plenty of parties & events
  • A range of sports, health and wellbeing initiatives
  • 3 days of paid leave every year to help support the charity or cause of your choice.
  • Trips to our other Engineering offices: San Francisco / London / York
  • The chance to continually help evolve a company already worth over $1.4 billion and one of the top 25 global Cloud Tech companies! (Forbes, 2017)
