We are looking for a Global Alliance Director to manage the overall relationship with 1-2 key GSI’s, with peer coordination globally. Overview:

 

Understanding the complexities and functional areas of a large GSI is a must, along with the knowledge of Anaplan’s addressable market, client needs, and go-to-market approach. The ability to ingest, understand, and add value to complex projects, intense sales cycle, and large personalities, along with influencing without authority, necessitates a unique individual.  You will be given the critical task of taking Anaplan’s partnership with these firms to the next level.

Anaplan’s Alliance team is tasked with establishing deep, differentiated, and value added relationships with thought leaders, trusted advisors and subject matter experts that shape the planning landscape and drive tremendous value for their clients. 

 

Anaplan’s Planning Platform enables GSI’s to deliver aggressive results for time-to-value while simultaneously creating a Connected Planning roadmap for organization-wide adoption across Finance, Sales Performance Mgmt, Supply Chain, Operations, and more.  Our agnostic, powerful, cloud-based multi-dimensional planning tool is a complete game changer in how these trusted advisors can deliver projects and value. 

What you’ll be doing:

The primary objective of this role will be to build & grow key strategic alliance relationships, evangelize Anaplan, and establish the ground game for building a large ($100M+) practice within the GSI’s. You will work closely with the Executive Leadership Teams on both sides of these alliances.  This is a high profile position, which requires strong executive presence and thoughtful execution.

 

This role will report into the Vice President of Global & Strategic Alliances, and will work cross-functionally with regional Alliances, Field Sales, Enablement, Customer Success, Marketing, Product, and various Operational Support Teams to build a comprehensive blueprint for success with one of our key Global Systems Integrator (GSI) partners.  In effect, you will be the “commander” of one of our most significant alliance relationships.

 

  • Own the overall go-to-market business plan with the partner to establish an Anaplan practice within the firm.
  • Identify, define, develop and drive solution offerings that provide value to Anaplan in key vertical and horizontal solution areas.
  • Coordinate with the Anaplan regional alliance & sales teams, field marketing, product marketing, product development and strategy teams to align with their respective GSI organizations.
  • Achieve global revenue goals via close collaboration with regional and global teams.
  • Build practice capacity to provide the foundation for ongoing scalable, sustained growth year-on-year.

 

More about you:

 

  • You have global experience in managing Systems Integrators (Deloitte, Accenture, Wipro, PwC, EY, etc)
  • You are comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
  • Your advanced problem-solving skills allow you to adapt to new circumstances and learn quickly when facing new problems and challenges
  • You have the ability to multi-task across objectives, services lines, sales reps, leadership, partners, marketing, and product functions, while quickly recognizing the activities that are value-add vs noise.
  • Ability to establish trusted, deep relationships with key stake holders on all sides of the partnership landscape.
  • A successful 3-5+ year tenure managing a leading Global Systems Integrator or similar strategic partnership
  • Highly proficient in navigating matrixed organizations to influence and gain traction with client account teams
  • “Entrepreneurial” mindset with a passion for taking initiatives from ideation to impact
  • Ability to serve as the “visionary” for the firm-to-firm partnership, while remaining detail-oriented
  • Passion for fast-paced, sometimes unpredictable startup culture and environment
  • Demonstrable experience of Business Development including alliance establishment, alliance management, revenue goal attainment, and marketing.
  • Experience in identifying market opportunities with a track record of instigating go-to-market plans and subsequent sales follow-through.
  • Commercially astute with the ability to promote the Anaplan proposition on a conceptual basis by illustrating business benefits.
  • Ability to engage, motivate and manage large personalities and executive audiences on all sides of the alliance.
  • Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audience and present the business value aspects of the proposition.
  • A good communicator and presenter, who possesses strong negotiation skills as well as sound interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence all levels of an organization.
  • A self-driven hard worker bent on changing the paradigm of Enterprise Performance Planning with the world’s largest GSI. 
  • Travel (50%) expected across North America and potentially international on occasion.
  • Domain expertise or thought leadership within enterprise planning and performance management / integrated business planning (preferred)
  • MBA from top-tier school preferred.
