HR Business Partner (HRBP)

Location:  San Francisco 

This position provides HR support to a number of areas within Anaplan. The HR Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and Sales, Marketing and G&A management on large scale and broad initiatives. The position serves as an advisor to the executives on human resource-related issues. The successful HRBP acts as an employee champion and change agent. The role assesses and anticipates HR-related needs while coordinating efforts across all business functions and other HRBP’s. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function and the business areas to deliver business advice relating to the best use of talent to executives that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The position includes international human resource responsibilities. The HRBP maintains a superior level of literacy regarding the business unit's financial position, its long-term strategic plans, how to leverage talent and its culture and competition.

Essential Functions

  • Direct HR support for site including Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Product and G&A business units and respective Executives.
  • Provides coaching to primary client group leadership. 
  • Works closely with Business Unit Leadership to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase the functions productivity and retention.
  • Works closely with finance for budgeting and planning.
  • Works closely with Recruiting for all hiring needs and compensation budgets.
  • Works closely with leadership on assessing employee performance.
  • Provides guidance and input on large scale business unit reorganizations, workforce planning and senior level succession planning.
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR generalists to develop solutions and programs to enhance organizational development.
  • Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
  • Provides broad HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Provides program management support for compensation and other HR programs

Travel

Travel may be expected on a quarterly basis when necessary.

Required Education and Experience

  • 3-5 years of HR Business Partner experience in a fast growth/fast paced environment.
  • 3+ exposure years exposure to multiple human resource disciplines, including leadership development, staffing, compensation practices, performance plans, exit/termination process, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity/inclusion, talent management and succession planning.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, hyper-growth (100m-1B), high performance SaaS organization experience helpful
  • Broad knowledge of business practices with experience both in and out of HR.
  • Smart, flexible, adaptable.
  • Bachelor's degree and relevant industry experience. MBA is preferred
