Marketing Event Manager:

 

Location: San Francisco

Join a dynamic and collaborative Event Marketing Team. The Marketing Event Manager will be responsible for supporting key strategic events throughout the year. Your primary focus will be placed on leading the planning, strategy and execution of Anaplan’s annual conference, Connected Planning Xperience (CPX). Strong logistical experience in meeting and conference management is required. As the Event Manager you will also support some of the large external sponsorship opportunities where Anaplan participates, as well as a handful of internal facing events. This person will report to and work directly with the Director of Event Marketing.

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Project manage the planning and execution of Anaplan’s annual conference, Connected Planning Xperience (CPX). Including, but not limited to the following:

Manage the event logistics agency relationship and deliverables

Work with the Partner Marketing Team to manage and facilitate the annual sponsorship packages

General logistics support- A/V support, F&B support, Room Sets, Vendor management

Work with the Customer Marketing Team to support speaker acquisition and logistics

Oversee the email marketing campaign for CPX

Manage the Event App

Tradeshow support on major initiatives, including Dreamforce

Logistical support on a handful of internal events

Ad-hoc event initiatives

 

Requirements and more about you:

  • 5+ years’ experience in event marketing, preferably for a SaaS technology company.
  • Experience managing the planning and execution of a large annual conference 2000-5000 attendees.
  • Ability to collaborate with and develop positive business relationships with all cross-functional areas within the marketing team and across the entire business
  • Strong creative problem-solving skills and poise under pressure
  • Excellent marketing and communications skills, strategic instincts, business intuition.
  • Positive energy and flexibility is a must in the rapid growth environment at Anaplan.
  • Specific importance on attention to detail, organization and communication.
  • Thrives working in a dynamic, startup environment.
  • BA or BS degree
  • Occasional travel
