Marketing at Anaplan is a group of passionate, seasoned and very dynamic marketing leaders responsible and accountable for driving the Anaplan brand and creating impactful digital marketing programs that deliver leads and pipeline across the Anaplan product family.

 

Your Opportunity

 

In this newly created, individual contributor role initially (People Manager as we build the marketing team), you will drive the optimization of digital, global marketing programs and tactics based on data by leveraging leading analytical capabilities. From identifying winning marketing strategies, optimizing the mix (paid, earned, owned; email, Web) based on attribution to shaping the overall digital model working closely with a team of data driven Marketing Pros. You will be responsible for the implementation of the analytical capabilities, their use, best practices.

Your Responsibilities

 

Reporting to the Sr. Director for Strategic Insights, you will be based in Bangalore, India and will:

 

  • Identify, prioritize, structure and solve complex Marketing problems, through the use of analytics and business judgment that lead to higher revenue, reduce costs and/or increase customer satisfaction
  • Lead discussions on potential use cases to solve marketing problems with various Marketing team members; formulate and implement solutions
  • Understand Marketing strategic initiatives and priorities and translate them into Analytical requirements and find supporting insights to make data driven decisions when possible
  • Work with different Marketing Demand Gen Tools and vendors such as Adobe Web Analytics, Marketo, Salesforce and Google AdWords.
  • Work with various Marketing Teams to ensure they have the Analytics they need to drive effectiveness, teach them how to utilize Analytics, best practices
  • Use Analytics within various tools – Adobe Analytics, Marketo, Salesforce etc. to capitalize on low-hanging fruit in terms of business insights to move-the-needle for the business
  • Collaborate with Sales and its eco-system on where/how Marketing can influence opportunities and revenue drivers
  • Evaluate any new, emerging marketing technology and its value proposition and how it fits into the Anaplan Marketing eco-system
  • Work with Marketing teams from various regions to understand their marketing challenges.  Deploy global best practices and local use; help the members of the Marketing community to become better Marketers
  • Monitor KPIs, web analytics dashboards, sales & marketing reports and point out key areas of importance in accordance to company goals.

 

Your Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, Marketing or a field with a quantitative focus or a technical discipline; advanced degree preferred
  • 10 or more years of relevant professional experience, ideally a combination of professional services/consulting and high-tech experience working for US based companies.
  • Highly analytical mindset with the ability to look at vast amounts of data and synthesize that information into intelligence that can be acted upon by the business
  • Database query proficiency with a working understanding of data models
  • Demonstrated expertise in marketing reporting and analytics
  • Consultative style; skilled in supporting internal and external customers
  • Expert in Adobe Analytics and Marketo with advanced skills in/knowledge of a variety statistical, analytical and business intelligence tools like Tableau, MicroStrategy, Big Data environments like Hadoop, Cassandra and MongoDB is a plus.
  • Experience performing advanced analytics, segmentations and data mining, modeling
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and reporting skills
  • Strong project/time management and organizational skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
