About the Team
At Anaplan we want to ensure that all of our engineers get to work in a small team environment no matter how big the company grows. That is very easy to say, but at Anaplan we are putting our money where our mouth is and investing in an Engineering Productivity team. This team will produce the glue that enables individual teams to focus on what’s important to them, and automate away all of the infrastructure work required to move code from developer’s machines into production.
This is DevOps on steroids - the Engineering Productivity team is made up of engineers following their natural instincts to write code to get jobs done. Yes, we work with tools like GitHub, Jenkins, Nexus and AWS, but we don’t use the UI to complete a task, we write a tool - which we can then roll out to our feature teams across the globe. If you like the sound of writing tools for other developers, and being able to really understand your customer (because they are just like you) then this is the role you’ve been looking for.
You will have a strong focus on systems administration, but will view systems maintenance as an engineering occupation and place paramount importance on reproducible changes and infrastructure as code. You will also be passionate about problem solving and collaborative working in a multi-functional team.
The kinds of technologies we work with are:
Obviously experience with any or all of the above is great, but really we just want people who are keen to help us make great tools for our fellow developers.
